Impressions Lighting were asked by DLA Architects to provide a lighting design for the new Function Centre to be built on the Zealong Tea Estate on the outskirts of Hamilton.

A clean glare free lighting design was required with a goal of blending luminaires into the fabric of the architecture, providing light without being too obvious.

The Zealong Retail Shop greets visitors at the entrance with its dramatic double height ceiling and floor to ceiling tinted windows.
High powered LED downlights with narrow beams of light, give the base light level to this space complemented by accent LED striplights in the detailed joinery walls with a cluster of suspended glass pendants adding extra warmth to the shop.

Low glare LED downlights and wall washers are used throughout most spaces to give subtle but practical lighting with client supplied decorative pendants adding further design to these areas.

A comprehensive exterior lighting scheme has been used to highlight the building and give great ambiance for night time functions.
